Aesthetically, these two phones are completely different. While the first has a full metal construction, the second is a glass sandwich - with a stainless steel frame between two curved panes. It not only has the best appearance, but also waterproof (certified IP67), and its predecessor - only splashproof.

The Sirocco version has an unlimited display with P-OLED technology, which is much better than the IPS panel "slightly above average" of the original Nokia 8. In addition, narrow frames reduce the size of the phone, although the display size remains almost the same. On the hardware side, there are no significant changes, as the Finnish giant again launched this new version with Snapdragon 835 SoC. But it is worth noting that Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, while its predecessor was Nugat.

The dual camera should be much better, given that it has a large aperture (f / 1,75), a dual pixel autofocus PD and an 2x optical zoom, other than the Carl Zeiss lens. On the other hand, the front camera has a much lower resolution (13 vs. 5 MP).

The battery is slightly larger (3260 vs. 3090 mAh): thanks to its larger capacity and with the OLED panel, it should last a little longer. Nokia 8 Sirocco will soon be released in Europe with the price of 750 euro, and Nokia 8 can be found in about € 360 ($ 443) in the configuration with 4 / 64 GB (note that Sirocco has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB ROM) thanks to online prices on the street.

At the moment, the improvements made do not justify a much higher price, but when the price drops to 550-600 euro, Nokia 8 Sirocco will be the best choice.
